Guardian centre

A minor identity stays PENDING_GUARDIAN until an adult account approves the relationship. Approval activates the identity; the minor then controls which proofs they share.

How consent works

  1. Institution verifies the minor and sets age_status = MINOR.
  2. The identity is created as PENDING_GUARDIAN, so no proof can be issued.
  3. The minor (or their account) names a guardian e-mail and relationship.
  4. The guardian signs in and approves the request — the identity becomes ACTIVE.
  5. High-risk third-party proofs additionally require that approved consent.
